Guerilla Theatre's latest production of Shirley Lauro's "A Piece of My Heart" opened last night to a sold out house, a standing ovation and many, many tears. Perhaps the most enduring and moving theatrical production about the Viet Nam war, Shirley Lauro's "A Piece of My Heart" tells the true stories of six women from various backgrounds who served as nurses in one of America's longest and bloodiest conflicts. The play follows them from the naive youth and wide eyed innocence of nursing school to the bloody unforgiving heart of war and finally back home to a world where they no longer belong.
Remaining Shows are: July 16-18, 23-25 & 30- 8/01. Regular showings are at 8pm. Sunday showings are at 5pm.
Tickets are just $10 general admission and $5 for students and veterans.
