Winoca Records is proud to present a celebration of all that is creative in the Wilmington community. “Take the Lake Music Festival” will be held at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater on Oct 30, 2010 from 1-10pm. This event will showcase some of the very best local and regional music acts. The line-up includes: Onward, Soldiers, Charlie the Horse, Mandolin Orange, Holy Ghost Tent Revival, Dirty Bourbon River Show, The Kingston Springs, Rayland Baxter and more. This day-long event will be infused with great tasting and healthy, local and/or organic food and drinks. A wide range of community organizations will be on site with booths set up to educate the greater Wilmington population about the creative endeavors abound in their community. Representatives from organizations, including Full Belly Project, Cucalorus, and many more, will be on hand to explain current projects and to promote socially and environmentally conscious efforts within the community. The goal of this festival is to bring to light all the amazing and wonderfully creative people within the community by highlighting the local projects that are improving the lives of all Wilmingtonians. This is a family event and children under the age of 15 will be admitted free. Day-long passes to the event will be $20 and can be purchased in advance at WWW.WINOCARECORDS.COM. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be used to reinvigorate the collective efforts of the creative community in Wilmington, which is being called Creative Wilmington. Creative Wilmington is simply a collective effort to promote the creative endeavors of the people in the greater Wilmington area. The goal of Creative Wilmington is to promote the city of Wilmington as a creative place, and to inform the local population as well as the public at large about the wonderfully creative endeavors abound within the community.
