1888 SKATE CLUB announces Camps and Lessons

Wilmington, NC- 1888 Skate Club is amped to announce our 2011 summer camp schedule and slate of private and semi-private lessons. Located in the fully-air-conditioned indoor skate park of the Brooklyn Arts Center at St. Andrews (516 North 4th Street—the corner of Campbell and North 4th streets), 1888 Skate Club summer camps and lessons are a sick way to beat the heat and skate street.

Hunter Ford, owner of Momentum Skate Shop and vice president of 1888 Skate Club, says, “Skaters of all levels are welcome at Skate Camp. There’s something challenging and fun for everyone. And if you’re looking for private or semi-private instruction, 1888 lessons are totally awesome.”

1888 Skate Club Camp is an all-summer event that is open to members only. There’s a co-ed camp and an all-girls camp. Both camps are for skaters ages 7-17. Camps are organized and offered in three two-hour sessions every Tuesday through Thursday throughout the summer. The all-girls camp runs three times during the summer.
