Downtown Sundown & UNCW MBAA Will Support Wounded Warriors Project

This Friday, July 15, Girlz Girlz Girlz will play at Downtown Sundown at 8:00pm in Riverfront Park. Papa Froosh Trio will open at 6:00pm. This week, half of the wristband proceeds will go toward UNCW's Masters of Business Administration Association (MBAA). The UNCW MBAA will donate 100% of the money raised from this concert to the Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project provides programs and services to severely injured service members during the time between active duty and transition to civilian life. "The UNC Wilmington MBAA is very excited and grateful to have the opportunity to take part in the Downtown Sundown concert series. Our goal is to be actively involved in the Wilmington area where we live and work. We also want to give back to the men and women who have been injured while protecting our freedom. The mission of the MBAA is to maximize the capabilities of members, develop solid relationships within the community, and continue to build on a reputation of integrity and professionalism to create a wealth of talented and successful MBA graduates in the Wilmington area. Existing goals for the MBAA include raising money for scholarships, establishing MBA community service projects, and getting to know the community of Wilmington to make people aware of the UNCW MBA program.
Wristbands will be sold for $1.00 per person at Downtown Sundown for the remainder of the series. WDI will be splitting the proceeds with local charities and nonprofit organizations each week up to $1,000. Visit www.wilmingtondowntown.com for a list of charities and corresponding dates.
