Proceeds from the charity wristband sales will support programs to educate citizens about the value of the river as a vital part of our environment and economy, and to keep the Cape Fear River clean and beautiful, " says Stephanie Borrett, Resource Director for Cape Fear River Watch.
Wristbands will be sold for $1.00 per person at the Downtown Sundown Concert Series for the remainder of the summer. WDI will split the proceeds with local charities and nonprofit organizations each week up to $1,000. Please visit wilmingtondowntown.com for a list of charities and corresponding dates.
