PRESS RELEASE
Last Friday, July 8, Downtown Sundown raised $380 for Cape Fear Housing Land Trust (CFHLT). CFHLT will use the funds to offset construction costs for the first house built under the Land Trust's Stewardship. CFHLT is committed to finding funds for affordable housing for the three surrounding counties: Pender, Brunswick and New Hanover. For information about this organization, visit their website at www.cfhlt.org.
"CFHLT is proud to be creating beautiful and stable communities in downtown through our provision of homeownership opportunities, and we are equally as proud of our community partners like WDI," says Erin Diener, Executive Director of CFHLT.
Wristbands will be sold for $1.00 per person at Downtown Sundown for the remainder of the series. WDI will be splitting the proceeds with local charities and nonprofit organizations each week up to $1,000. Please visit www.wilmingtondowntown.com for a list of charities and corresponding dates.
