Wilmington, NC - On Friday, August 17, Tuesday's Gone, a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band, headlined WDI's Downtown Sundown Concert Series. Opening for Tuesday's Gone was Medussa Stone, a band local to the Wilmington area. Through the weekly charity wristband program, WDI raised $575 for the Bellamy Mansion. The Bellamy Mansion is a historic, antebellum home that now functions as a museum of history and design arts. Located on Market Street, the Mansion offers tours and changing exhibitions.

"The Bellamy Mansion Museum is delighted to receive such great support from Wilmington Downtown, Inc. As one of Wilmington's most recognized landmarks, we are always looking for opportunities to work with others and raise the profile of the historic downtown. Being a beneficiary of the Downtown Sundown Concert Series allowed us to involve our volunteers in a great event and helps fund our educational programming," says Gareth Evans, Executive Director of the Bellamy Mansion.

The Downtown Sundown Concert Series is coordinated by Wilmington Downtown, Inc. (WDI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the economic growth and development of downtown Wilmington. Wristbands are sold for $1 per person at each concert to those drinking alcohol. The charity wristband program entitles a different organization to half of the proceeds from wristband sales up to $1,000 each week.
