Wilmington, NC - Last Friday, June 29, ZOSO played at the Downtown Sundown Concert Series with opener Dutch Treat. Through the charity wristband program, Downtown Sundown raised $865 for the Kids Making It woodworking program.

Kids Making It is dedicated to teaching woodworking in a strong mentoring environment and instilling patience, pride, perseverance, confidence, teamwork and self-esteem.

"What an incredible opportunity! We had a great time and Downtown Sundown is a wonderful event for non-profits to earn money to benefit the community," says Jimmy Pierce, Program Director for Kids Making It. Funds raised will go toward 173 ink pen kits that will be sold in stores, generating $3,460 of direct income for the students of Kids Making It.

Wristbands will be sold for $1.00 per person at the Downtown Sundown Concert Series for the remainder of the summer. WDI will split the proceeds with local charities and nonprofit organizations each week up to $1,000. Please visit wilmingtondowntown.com for a list of charities and corresponding dates.

Join WDI at the Downtown Sundown Concert Series on Friday, July 6 for 42, a tribute to Coldplay. The Sound Down Shore Band will open at 6:00pm, followed by 42 at 8:00pm. Half of the proceeds from wristband sales will benefit the Cape Fear Community College Alumni Association.
