Wilmington, NC - Girlz, Girlz, Girlz headlined the Downtown Sundown Concert Series with opener Brent Stimmel Band last Friday, June 15. Through the charity wristband program, Wilmington Downtown, Inc. (WDI) was able to donate $660 to the Pretty In Pink Foundation. Pretty In Pink Foundation's mission is to provide financial assistance to uninsured and underinsured breast cancer patients with quality, life-saving medical treatment regardless of their ability to pay.

"There are so many requests for assistance these days from those diagnosed with breast cancer in our community and the requests are not just from those without insurance. Pretty in Pink will be able to provide necessary post-surgery products to at least 27 women through this donation. We're just grateful to organizations like WDI who are willing to help us in such a fun and tangible way," says Joy Wade, Program Manager for Pretty in Pink.

Wristbands will be sold for $1.00 per person at the Downtown Sundown Concert Series for the remainder of the summer. WDI will split the proceeds with local charities and nonprofit organizations each week up to $1,000. Please visit www.wilmingtondowntown.com for a list of charities and corresponding dates.
