Wilmington Downtown, Inc. (WDI) will welcome The Frontiers, a tribute to Journey, to the Downtown Sundown Concert Series on Friday, June 10. Papa Froosh Trio, opening act, will begin playing at 6:00 p.m. followed by The Frontiers at 8:00 p.m. This event takes place in Riverfront Park.

WDI will be selling wristbands for $1.00 per person at Downtown Sundown, and splitting the proceeds with local charities and non-profit organizations each week. This week's charitable partner is YWCA of the Lower Cape Fear. The proceeds will benefit the YWCA's "Save the Bubble" campaign. Funds will be used to replace the YWCA pool bubble. The bubble is placed on the pool during the cooler months (September through May) so that swim lessons, water aerobics, lap swimming, lifeguard training and other services that promote healthy lifestyles can continue.

"We are so excited to partner with Downtown Sundown to raise funds for the YWCA Pool," said YWCA Executive Director Susan Fennell, "all funds raised by the YWCA through June 30, 2011, will be doubled by the Cape Fear Memorial Foundation, up to $55,000!"

The YWCA Lower Cape Fear is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1914 as an affiliate of the national YWCA, an autonomous women's movement. They are committed to self-determined social change for women of all racial, ethnic and economic groups. The YWCA provides leadership in the community, nation and world in the struggle for peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people.
