Wilmington, NCWilmington Downtown, Inc. will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the start of a great new project in downtown Wilmington, the 5-story Bank of America Building.  The event will take place at the construction site on Wednesday, July 16th at 4:00pm on the corner of 3rd and Walnut Streets.

This is an exciting project for downtown as it promotes more growth in the north side district, as well as creating an economic stimulus.  The bank is relocating from its current location on the corner of Front and Chestnut Streets.  As the anchor tenant, Bank of America will feature a full service banking center that will offer an array of financial products and services.

The new Bank of America Building is being built on the corner of 3rd and Walnut Streets.  The architect and land planner on the project is Cline Design, the contractor is McKinley Building Corporation, and the engineer is Stewart Engineering.  The project will include a private parking deck to serve the traffic generated by the new construction.
