WDI Announces BOD for 2009-10

WILMINGTON, NCAlice Mitchell has been named Board President of Wilmington Downtown for the 2009-2010 year, effective as of July 1, 2009.  As a downtown Wilmington resident, Mitchell has been actively involved with Wilmington Downtown, Inc. since the late 1990’s.  Mitchell served as the Vice President of the Central Business District (CBD) Services Committee for 3 years and most recently served as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors.  Mitchell is also active in other community organizations such as Residents of Old Wilmington (ROW) and is a past Executive Committee member of the Chamber of Commerce.  Wilmington Downtown looks forward to an exciting year with Mitchell leading the Board of Directors and the organization as she brings a passion and dedication to downtown that will provide an invaluable asset to the organization. Of her new role as President, Alice Mitchell says, “I admire the accomplishments of Wilmington Downtown Inc, and I am very happy to serve as President of this organization which promotes and celebrates our beautiful, unique downtown.  The Board of Directors consists of knowledgeable and dedicated individuals who are equally committed to the continued success of the organization.”

Wilmington Downtown, Inc. is led by a Board of Directors consisting of 37 active members in the community from designated fields.
