WDI Donates to Cape Fear Volunteer Center

Wilmington, NC - On Friday, June 1, SRVT (Stevie Ray Vaughn Tribute) headlined the Downtown Sundown Concert Series with opening act Jeremy Norris. Through the charity wristband program, WDI raised $325 for Cape Fear Volunteer Center (CFVC). CFVC's mission is to match individuals and agencies with service opportunities in the Cape Fear region.
"Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity. We are so grateful for the exposure and for the money. The evening was fun and exciting," says Annie Anthony, director of Cape Fear Volunteer Center.
Wristbands will be sold for $1.00 per person at the Downtown Sundown Concert Series for the remainder of the summer. WDI will split the proceeds with local charities and nonprofit organizations each week up to $1,000. Please visit wilmingtondowntown.com for a list of charities and corresponding dates.
