WDI President & CEO to Participate in 2011 Southeast Tourism Society Meeting

WDI is proud to announce that John Hinnant, President and CEO, will be speaking at the Southeast Tourism Society Spring meeting in Florida at the end of March. He is one of four panelists chosen to speak concerning downtowns becoming destinations.

Panel Title: Main Street, Main Stage: The District as the Destination

A thriving downtown in a smaller community or a bustling neighborhood in a metropolitan area can give a huge boost to tourism. We explore the successes and obstacles, practices and tools for developing downtown districts and the impact they have on visitors and locals alike. Highlighting the session are case studies with an expert panel in the nationwide "Main Street" methodology program.
