Wilmington, NC - Wilmington Downtown, Inc. (WDI) is accepting nominations for at-large positions for its 2012-2013 Board of Directors. The thirty-five member board includes representatives of civic organizations, governmental bodies, professional groups and members of the community at-large.

WDI, whose mission is to promote the economic growth and development of downtown Wilmington, is looking for board members who have a vested interest in downtown. Experienced professionals with skills in business recruitment, business retention, quality of life issues, long range urban planning, downtown promotion, events, fundraising or organizational development are encouraged to apply.

There are a limited number of at-large positions available. If you are interested in submitting your name for nomination and are willing to actively participate in a dynamic working organization, please send a resume and letter stating your interest and reason for applying to:

Deadline for submitting nominations is June 14, 2012 by 5:00pm. The election will take place at the organization's annual meeting on June 27, 2012.
