WDI Seeks Volunteers for New Downtown Ambassador Program

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Wilmington Downtown, Inc., Wilmington’s Downtown Economic Development Organization, is accepting applications for it’s all new, Downtown Ambassador Program. The goal of the Downtown Ambassador Program is to provide a dedicated resource to help everyone learn the many activities and assets available in downtown. Ambassadors will act as official downtown greeters and offer directions, helpful information and recommendations on things to see, places to visit, stores to shop in, places to eat and local events. The official program will begin May 21, 2010.

The success of the Downtown Ambassador Program relies heavily on the commitment of Wilmington’s citizens, through generous contribution of time and energy. Ideally, Ambassadors will volunteer for two hours once a week, or at least once a month. Can you give two hours to downtown?

WDI is seeking outgoing individuals who are enthusiastic about showcasing downtown Wilmington. If you love downtown, want to help visitors enjoy their time and help downtown achieve its full potential, then you would be a perfect Downtown Ambassador!
