Wilmington Downtown Announces Arrival of 7 New Downtown Businesses

Wilmington's Central Business District continues to to attract new business with seven new operations set to open in the Downtown District.  Here are the details:

  • Aqua Fedora just opened at 105 Market Street.  The owners recently relocated from Florida and also live above the shop.  Davey and Jenna McKnight are excited about their new venture, a discount ladies boutique.

  • The Blue Lotus is a new restaurant now in the former Szechuan 130 location at 130 N. Front Street.  With a new menu and a fresh look, they are attracting nice crowds.

  • The Front Street Delicatessen will occupy the front end of the same building. Three young, local entrepreneurs will be operating the new eatery & are very excited about opening in the Downtown District.

  • The Mark Bryant Company is a flooring specialist opening at 21 Market Street.  The gallery is still being renovated but will be opening very soon. They specialize in residential, commercial and industrial flooring (including cork, vinyl, etc).
     
  • Jeff Poole Photography is coming to 271 N Front Street.  Jeff is a portrait photographer, specializing in bridal and wedding events.  His studio will open soon with family portrait sessions also available.
     
  • Wilmington Wine is coming back to South Front Street next to the Roudabush Building where Dock meets Front Street.

  • Hot Pink Cake Stand is planning to modify 116 N Front Street (the old Zoo Toys and Trains).  The owner is very excited about her new business, and is planning just small changes to enhance the historic character of the space.

Wilmington Downtown, Inc. welcomes these new partners in the Downtown District.  These latest additions to the business  landscape highlight a vibrant downtown that continues to be a great place to live, work and visit!
