We're a young, growing technology company in the heart of downtown Wilmington that is looking for an energetic programmer with a broad range of technology experience. Including, but not limited to: PHP, SQL, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, and HTML5.

Should be comfortable with both Linux and Windows environments. Python, asp.net, Payment Gateway experience a plus.

Wilmington Downtown, Inc. (WDI)
Intern - Marketing & Communications
Date Range: Spring 2012
Approximate Number of Hours Per Week: 10-15

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop WDI newsletter (twice a month);
  • Write press releases and stories for placement in local news publications;
  • Maintain blog and assist with social media efforts;
  • Assist with planning and executing the 2012 Downtown Lifestyle Tour;
  • Daily research on media articles (WDI & downtown involvement);
  • Daily research on all downtown events for inclusion on WDI website;
  • Website maintenance and updates;
  • Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO and Executive Assistant
