Having access to fresh, nutritious, and local food is an opportunity you can enjoy anywhere you live - by growing your own! In Homegrown Food and Fun(ds) you will learn about sustainable farming techniques, innovative gardening strategies, and local tricks of the trade. Growing your own good food helps you take responsibility for your own health, shows respect for the planet, and can even produce profit. Explore farm design, seeds and breeds, composting, and even raising chickens for beginners. This introductory course is for the urban/suburban/rural homesteader with entrepreneurial spirit. This course begins 1/24- 3/7 from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm and will be on Tuesdays bi-weekly at CFCC’s Wilmington Campus. Pre registration is required and the cost is $60.
