Taste of the Town

LOCATION: Thalian Hall - 310 Chestnut St

Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. and Downtown Wilmington restaurants have organized a taste expedition to allow past, present, and future theatre-goers the opportunity to experience diverse selections of downtown dining.

“Taste of the Town” is a benefit for the ongoing restoration efforts for the crown jewel of downtown Wilmington, Thalian Hall.

Patrons will get to sample of some of Wilmington’s great restaurants. This year fifteen restaurants have signed on to give provide a taste of their good food: Aubriana’s, Basics, The Black Sea, Caffé Phoenix, Elijah’s, Fat Tony’s Italian Pub, Front St. Brewery, The German Café, Hell’s Kitchen, Hot Pink Cake Stand, The Little Dipper, The Reel Café, The Riverboat Landing, The Scoop, and YoSake Downtown Sushi Lounge!

The fun evening begins at 5pm at Thalian Hall (310 Chestnut Street), where everyone will pick up their Taste of the Town expedition maps. Before participants are released to sample some of Wilmington’s greatest restaurants, they will spend a few minutes with Thalian Hall’s Executive Director, Tony Rivenbark and get an exclusive peak at the amazing renovations underway at the Hall. Everyone is then encouraged to make their way to the restaurants in whatever order they choose, experiencing the unique atmosphere of each location as their fancy dictates.

Tickets are $25 in advance/$35 day of the event.

Patrons must arrive at Thalian Hall no later than 5:30 to pick up their Taste of the Town map.
