Downtown Sidewalks Pressure Washed by the Ambassadors

Posted Jun 10th, 2019 in Feat of the Week

Like any holiday, the recent Memorial Day weekend brought many locals and visitors to Downtown Wilmington. Attractions, shops, restaurants and entertainment venues were bustling with activity.

For the most part, the weather cooperated and people were able to park their cars and walk around the center city to enjoy all the sights and sounds of downtown. Increased foot traffic, people eating convenience food on the go and outdoor dining at some restaurants inevitably leads to the sidewalks getting stained.

Year-round, the City of Wilmington street-cleaning crews ensure the roads and sidewalks are clear of trash and the Municipal Service District Ambassadors provide additional services like sticker removal, graffiti clean-up, special litter pick-up and pressure washing. After the holiday weekend, the Ambassadors located the worst-affected areas and cleaned them using a pressure washer.

We think you’ll agree this is a great supplemental service for Downtown Wilmington.
