If you’ve ever been frustrated by those pesky stickers or price tags on just about everything you buy, you’re not alone and even the smallest of stickers can be irritating. When they appear on structures or buildings in Downtown Wilmington, they can be unsightly too.
Thankfully, the Municipal Service District Ambassadors do their best to keep the center city clean for everyone by removing stickers as quickly as possible. If stickers are reported or found downtown, the Ambassadors take action to remove them and clean the surface. When stickers appear on privately-owned property, the Ambassadors must first seek approval from the owner before using a scraper to remove them; occasionally, an adhesive-remover is necessary.
From July 2018 through to June 2019, stickers were removed from 247 locations by the Ambassadors from structures like traffic signs, downpipes, newspaper boxes and trash cans. If you see any stickers in need of removal, call or email an Ambassador!
The Ambassador team works seven days a week, Mon-Thurs 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., Fri/Sat, 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. and Sun, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. They can be reached during operating hours by phone or text at 910.524.3600. Or, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
