With flu season on the horizon, keeping healthy should be foremost in your mind. If you’re interested in pursuing a holistic approach, visit PureLife Wellness Center on North Front Street in Downtown Wilmington. Victoria Chavez started this business as a health food store in 2007 because she wanted to give people healthy options.
Victoria’s interest in health started early. She recalled her grandmother making compresses with herbal remedies and chicken poop! Her grandmother was an herbalist and her compresses successfully cured many skin problems.
Soon after Victoria opened her health food store, someone came in with a persistent skin problem that was not responding to conventional medicine. Victoria told her about her grandmother’s compresses and the customer asked if she could try one. Victoria set to work and re-created the compress (minus the chicken poop).
Much to the customer’s delight, it worked. Before long, the word spread and Victoria had many more people asking for the magical compress. Making these to order was time-consuming so Victoria created large batches and filled jars. She named the ointment, Miracle Skin Relief – First Aid in a Jar.
As the business grew and the product range became more diverse to include teas, herbs, vitamins and other healthy products, Victoria became more interested in the holistic approach to health. She went back to school and earned her Bachelor’s degree in health and wellness. Victoria also became certified in Reiki, neuro-linguistic programming, hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy so she expanded the business to incorporate the seven dimensions of wellness.
Today, Victoria is still passionate about creating wellness, expanding knowledge and building awareness of a holistic approach to health. She manufactures most of her products at the store from high-quality, natural ingredients and is available for consultations.
Whether you have a cold, muscle pain, anxiety or are just looking for ways to boost your immunity, ask for Victoria at PureLife Wellness Center at the Front Street side of the Cotton Exchange buildings and she will help customize a healthy remedy for you. Make your health a priority today.
