You know you’ve arrived as a “local” when someone asks you for directions, but what happens if you’re new to the area, visiting from out of town or are venturing Downtown for the first time in a while. That’s when the Municipal Service District’s Ambassador Program in Downtown Wilmington can help. In just 12 months since the start of the program, the Ambassadors have provided directions and other hospitality assistance over 3,000 times.
Like a hotel concierge, the Ambassadors are trained to know the detailed layout of the Downtown area and learn about many of the hundreds of businesses and services located in the central business district. They can let you know what’s available, how to find what you’re looking for and where to park. They can give you a local perspective that may not be evident in an online review and may even be able to give you a personal recommendation of places they’ve frequented.
And, guess what? They can give you an awesome, pocket-sized Downtown street map to help you on your way. Need assistance? Call an Ambassador!
