Riverfest Attendees Keep the Ambassadors Busy

Posted Oct 7th, 2019 in Feat of the Week

Riverfest brought people to Downtown Wilmington from near and far this weekend. The entertainment kicked off with live music Friday night and the festival fun continued through Sunday evening. As people visited the street fair and local merchants to browse, shop and eat, the Municipal Service District Ambassadors were on hand to give directions and help with general inquiries.

After the event, the Ambassadors assisted City cleaning crews by picking up trash, removing stickers and pressure washing stained sidewalks. Most of the work was completed by the time downtown businesses opened their doors this morning, although a couple of places still need attention.

If you see anything that was missed, whether it is loose trash, graffiti or stickers, please call or text an Ambassador at 910.524.3600 during operating hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.  Sunday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Once an incident has been reported, the Ambassadors will attend to it as quickly as possible.

And, if you think the Ambassadors did a great job this weekend, take a moment to thank them.
