Recently, some Downtown Wilmington buildings were defaced by graffiti causing property damage and headaches for property owners needing to fix the mess. Even though graffiti vandalism is a Class 1 misdemeanor and three or more offenses equal a felony, some think vandalizing someone else’s property is okay to do.
Downtown residents and business owners want to keep the central business district clean and free of blight so everyone can enjoy our beautiful city. One of the services provided by the Ambassadors in the Municipal Service District is the removal of graffiti. Because the Ambassadors patrol the streets daily, they can act quickly to keep our city clean.
