The MSD Appoints a Customer Relations Coordinator

Revitalizing communities in downtown business districts is about bringing people together and working toward common goals. To be successful, connections need to be established and relationships nurtured among members of the community. To further this goal, the Municipal Service District (MSD) recently appointed a customer relations coordinator, Debra Korb.

Debra is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. She has a corporate and non-profit marketing background and has worked in many different parts of the country including 12 years in Charlotte, NC. During the past 15 years, Debra has been involved in hospitality and in the management of historic properties and historic districts.

As the part-time customer relations coordinator, she will help business and property owners to access programs, services and resources within the downtown MSD and will inform them about events and activities in the center city. Debra is ideally suited to this role because she is naturally curious and empathizes with business owners who wear many hats.

Debra believes in strength in numbers and is an advocate for partnerships. She says, “The residential and retail development and the thriving arts community create a vibe that influences further growth.” Debra wants existing businesses to be made aware of opportunities to co-promote and hopes to connect the dots between the many facets of downtown. 

In this era of growth, it’s an exciting time to be downtown and Debra is a welcome addition to the MSD team. Her hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and she looks forward to getting to know everyone.
