Downtown Wilmington is steeped in history so it’s always good to know about businesses that are a part of that history. Celebrating 40 years in operation, The Pilot House on South Water Street is a restaurant we know we can count on to deliver great food and impeccable service. And, because we learned the secrets to The Pilot House’s success, we wanted to share them with you:
#1 - the ability to adapt to changing palates while remaining true to the core.
#2 - the practice of being mannerly to a fault.
Originally, The Pilot House was a sandwich shop and it evolved through the fine dining era to its current designation as a provider of southern cuisine based on local produce. The focus of the most recent menu is food you will crave and what’s in season.
The restaurant underwent a major remodel in 2013 to make it more welcoming so customers will feel at home while enjoying some southern charm and hospitality. Seeing is believing!
