Wilmington, NC- Downtown Nutrition ILM recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark their official opening in the center city. The event was attended by friends and family, customers and Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo. Wilmington Downtown, Inc. (WDI) officiated the event.
Downtown Nutrition ILM is located at 240 Princess Street, in the Wallace Building near the intersection of Princess and 3rd Streets. The shop is owned and operated by Shawn Blair, Pamela Carmela & Genna Wagner. This is the second Wilmington location for Blair and Nutrition ILM.
The store focuses on healthy food options for its clients and offers a free wellness evaluation to help set weight loss and management goals. Both locations have protein bars and a range of dietary supplements. They also serve low-calorie smoothies and herbal energy drinks that are low in sugar and full of nutrients. In addition, the business has vegetarian, gluten-free, soy-free, non-GMO and lactose-free products.
“We saw an opportunity to expand in Downtown and provide our products to working professionals and nearby residents,” says Blair. “Attorneys, visitors to the courthouse and employees from nearby office buildings have already become regulars,” she said.
Visitors to the cozy storefront are greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who can provide information about all the available products and services. Orders are filled quickly and efficiently and people are able to sit and enjoy their drinks. A small chalkboard lists upcoming community events and activities.
“WDI is happy to welcome Shawn and her team to Downtown,” said President Ed Wolverton. “They offer a quick, healthy grab-n-go option for those looking for a snack or meal replacement,” he said.
