July 4th Fireworks Display Event Information

Set-up for the City of Wilmington Fireworks Display on July 4th begins at 1:30 p.m. Street closures will happen later in the afternoon. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early and consider their exit strategy prior to parking. If you live north of Red Cross Street, park to the north. If you live to the south of Red Cross Street, park to the south. NO STANDING, STOPPING or PARKING on bridges, roadways or along medians on HWY 17, 74/76, 133 or 421. NO PETS allowed. Expect delays of up to two hours if exiting immediately after the fireworks. Please be patient.

 

Parking Information: 

On-street parking is FREE for this event.

CFCC parking decks: $10

City and County parking decks: $7

Convention Center Deck: $8

 

Fireworks begin at 9:05 p.m. Many Downtown businesses stay open late so take some time to shop and dine.

This year, there will be no concert, street fair or food vendors due to Riverfront Park and Water St. construction.

 

 WGNI & WECT will be live on the Riverwalk at the foot of Market St. before & during the fireworks.
